Hello Reefers!

My tests results are in! I been experiencing some issues with corals dying . So I ordered a test to find out my salinity was at 1.029 to find out my calibration solution for my refractometer is defective .

I will be correcting overtime with water changes . Wonder if this is the cause of coral death ..

You see anything else that’s alarming maybe silver is quite high iodine is low which is strange because I dosed every 14 days .

Any feedback would be great as this test does not show recommendations like other tests kits out there .

Iodine is highlighted because it is off. If you click on different elements it shows you how your water compares to NSW at the top of the page. You can change the area your comparing to Fiji or Hawaii for instance.

Thanks for the tip. If you see aluminum is 0.1ppm but the recommended is 0.00. So it that to high? Why do I have silver? Do you think it's my marine pure block?

Their recommendation may be zero, but the nsw at all the locations they show averages about .06. I know some brands of ceramic blocks have been blamed for high aluminum. I have them in my tank and my aluminum is .066. My silver is at .0021. I have no idea where that comes from. I am not worried about either of them at this point.

These are my first test results. It is definatly interesting. I was aware my po4 had been climbing although my corals have been very happy and the number is twice what my test kits say. Apparently I have been dosing too much Strontium and iodine although my tests were not showing that. I wonder where my high Bromine level is coming from.

Yea I have like 5 or 6 bottles of refractometer fluid and they are all different.

You salinity is a little high..

If your aluminum is at .066 and mine is at 0.1 then mine is almost double. I just don’t know if it should be alarming or not.
