this is a subjective question (hope I used that word right, too fancy for me normally)
some run it out of curiosity. there are those that run it if a problem arises. It can be run yearly , quarterly, monthly to monitor things, some use it as a baseline to help set up a dosing regimen.
it can be pricy though. Usually the tank is an established one when it is run
