just got my results back for my first ever icp…

really simple lps system that relies only on water changes and kalk in ato

i think everything is fine,
but was curious about what you guys think?

thanks in advance and happy reefing

It looks like everything is in the green. For the most part, frequent water places will replace the vast majority of trace elements that you'll ever need. It looks like you're doing everything right! :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

word, thanks…

triton is suggesting dosing for
mg, k, b, i, li, mo, v, mn, ni, and zn

that’s a whole bunch of trace…
i’m not certain if it’s necessary,
or if they’re just trying to sell products?

i was thinking the same thing a few years ago, until i started to dose trace elements based on my icp tests and i can wholeheartly tell you it made quite a differance...my corals took off and i'm fragging like crazy

interesting…
this is a level of fine tuning i sorta expected,
but wasn’t certain if i needed

these are individual components…
would it best to dose individually,
or go with a full spectrum micro dose route?

me personally i dose full spectrum...i use brightwell replenish and iodine...i read and heard really good things for moonshiners...a LFS is on the mopnshiners approach and they love it..

congrats on the least newsworthy ICP test ever :)
What salt do you use and how often do you change?

red sea blue bucket…

and wc’s are done every 7-10 days,
unless i am busy or out of town…
but never longer than 3ish weeks

I think you may (or may not) benefit from a trace element supplement, such as Tropic Marin A and K.

Iodine is a worthwhile experiment to see if dosing it is helpful.

Triton is suggesting dosing magnesium, when at 1330 ppm it is already abo NSW levels (1280 ppm)? IMO, that's not indicated.

Same for potassium. Potassium is fine at 393 ppm (NSW = 400 ppm).

I would not dose lithium to a reef tank. There is no established biological need in any organism, and yours is not far below natural levels.

I expect dosing boron is a wasted effort at your levels, but won't hurt anything.
