Well, in September 2020 I had icth at my tank.
Is a 90g with mix corals and fish.
So I take all the fish out and put them in QT for 3 months. So my DT tank was only with invertebrates. A bought new fish and put them in the QT and wait wait wait to the day I put everything again at the Main tank. All was good until 2 months after (last week) that I got velvet in my powder and aquilles. And both died. Also a clown fish. I put icth attack and polyp lab. I am treating the tank with that.
I don't see any spot in all the other fish ( the y ellow tank tank is the most important).

Why do I get velvet!!??? Through corals!! I only add corals to my tank, but dipping in seachem dip.
Do I have to QT all again?
My fish are ok, eating ok, and in treatment!!

Based on what I have read around forums, you have to go fallow again and observe the fish in QT tank. Anything wet that will go to the DT needs to be quarantined that includes corals and inverts.

I did it with copper. For a month and then Paraguard.

So how you quarantine corals? Also 3 months?

The worst thing was lost my aquilles!! Now is almost impossible to get one
Are you in Carol stream, Illinois? If so, Have an LFS in Milwaukee with one under $300

Some people quarantine their corals for 75 days in a fishless system. My minimum time is 45 days in a fishless system.
