ID algae growing on snail

Had this for a while, only grows on 2 snails. Never really thought much of it but now I'm a little curious what it is.

Lol, that is pretty funny looking.
Looks like a turf algae. I would remove snail, place in container of display water and give the shell a good scrubbing with a tooth brush, rinse and return.
 
Would dipping the shell half in peroxide help, after picking off the algae? Not sure how much it would irritate the snail and some peroxide might contact some of its flesh.
 
I would just scrub it off, I do not think peroxide would be good for the reasons you mentioned. I suppose you could use a q-tip to dab the shell with peroxide, rinse and repeat.

Haven't seen it anywhere else in the tank, its been that way for a some months. Another snail had gha growing on the shell and that looked funny aswell but it eventually died off and its a boring snail now =[.
