so I have a CUC and they have been working on some rocks that look like they have Green Turf Algae, but they do not touch the portion that I thought was GHA. I believe I have a couple of small hair algae popping up. I was showing it to an aquarium buddy and he told me he thought it was Bryopsis. I looked up Bryopsis on this forum and the pics look different.

I have H2O2 treat it and it does not kill it, but make it easy to pull off with my hand. Normally it is stuck on the rock really good. I have reef flux, but wanted to confirm what it was first. I have read where some people have had reef flux affect their Cheato. Thank you all.

they look like sponges to me, and yes cheato is sensitive to any algae eliminating chemicals. I would let it go, your rocks will go through many stages in the first year

Look more like tufts of GHA to me. I have something very similar (maybe even the same thing) going on in mine. Pretty typical for newer tanks (though not sure how old your system is).

i don't think he's talking about the obvious GHA
