Hi everyone,
New algae problem has been creeping up. Can anyone help me ID and recommend treatment. I've been trying to pluck it out, but man it's not easy. Thanks.

So from what I'm reading, it's not really a nuisance algae (hence it wasn't listed on the nuisance list.) unfortunately, my tomini tang is showing no interest. The ulva doesn't look all that bad, but it is steadily increasing each week. Any other thoughts on who might mow this down? (fish or invert. I have room for both)

Ok, I need some more help on this. Lettuce algae is taking over. I stopped feeding nori to my tomini tang, hoping he'd start eating it, but no luck there. He won't touch it. I keep reading that this stuff is delectable to tangs and other herbivorous inhabitants. Any ideas? Tank is 75g mixed reef.

Update: I let the lettuce algae grow for a few weeks. It is easier to pull out when the patches are bigger. I'm actually starting to like it. If it's kept trimmed to specific patches, it actually looks kind of nice. Adds a natural look. And the best part- both my phosphates and nitrates are 0! (And I've been somewhat lazy with wc lately). Before the lettuce, nitrates were always around 5. I think I have an 'in-tank' refugium thing going on. Here's a FTS.

Lol yes, 'friends.' I had a small LPS tank about 12 years ago that I intentionally put grape caulerpa in. It worked out. It needed regular trimming, but it helped with water quality since I only had a little skilter for filtration back then. I'm getting flashbacks with this lettuce algae.
