Hello,

Got this guy, today. Was labeled as Sebea anemone? But aren’t they pretty white? Possibly Heractis Manifica?
Thanks!

Not an expert on anemones by any means and I can't say for sure what type of anemone it is, but I'm pretty sure sebae anemones come in a variety of colors that aren't just white, this includes brown, tan, and cream.

I am 95% sure it is a BTA. If you can get pictures of the mouth and of the column, then I can 100% certain in it's ID

I don’t know if I am seeing things but is it splitting? Does resemble a BTA though.

I don’t think it’s splitting, just the trick of the camera lol.

Here are the pictures of the mouth. There is a striation across the mouth. So it’s probably a BTA then?

sebae anemone AKA Clownfish anemone

I agree that is a bubbletip anemone, mine have the white lines around the mouth. The colour could be from high nutrients and high light. Mine appear to have best colour under T5, not to much flow and feeding regular. Three clones have multiplied in 3 years to around 40 animals.

I’ve got various clones of BTA and all have the white lines pointing towards the mouth. I’ve also got seabae and none of them have it, neither dose my Ritteri which has a very distinctive foot.

I’ll post some photos so you can see.

Ritteri, you can see the puckered appearance often foot.

The rest are various bubble tips. Position of bubble or absence of bubble seems to be random.
