I've taking over some reef tank duties from my dad which due to health issue can't do meany things right now. We have a main tank up stairs and a backup/emergency tank in the garage. We have this one coral that needs Id'ing. Also with the second image is this aiptasia?

Looks like a candy cane coral (calaustrea) and colonial hydroids.

First pic is Trumpet coral and the bottom looks like yellow polyps with some lovely Vermeted snails....

Looking up Vermeted snails I noticed a lot of people kill them. Should I get rid of them?

I would remove every single one, you will thank me for telling you this......

Is it as easy as crushing them or are they hard to kill.

Snap them off at the base and if you see any signs of webbing afterwards you can try kalk paste. They are relentless pests, I would rate them up there with aptasia.

The hydroids in the bottom pic, you can cover them in kalk paste as well. There a nuisance
