ID crab... is this an emerald crab ???

hi fellow reefers , can someone tell ne if this is an emerald crab or a gorilla crab .. hes quite big ..wondering if i should bannish him too my sump ?

He does seem too have pointy claws!

Knobby shell, large claws with "spoon" tips ... yep. That's an emerald. Like some other crabs, they can be good - until they're not. Some folks have reported trouble.

As they get larger, they may decide to include a bit more protein in their diet.

Maybe a sleeping fish or two, a coral here and there...

I wouldn't call those pointy claws. They look like cup claws to me.
