ID for an organism shaped like a doily

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows what this is. It is growing in the crevice of a vertical seam, half on the seam and half on the glass. It kind of reminds me of a doily. It appears to be growing in a spiral pattern and is about an inch across.

Here is a side view of the part that is attached to the glass next to the seam:

I tried removing it but it seems very fragile and would probably break apart into multiple pieces. I thought I'd try to get it ID'd before removing it.

Oh my gosh, I had not considered snail eggs. Thank you very much! I indeed did add 10 Cerith snails last month to my existing snail population.
