I have noticed this thing in my tank for a week or so now. It looks like just the tetacle of an animal and it moves around, but always in the some hole in the rock. It is very hard to take pictures of and is not more or less active during the day or night. I do have spaghetti worms in my tank but these seem much different. Here is a photo, I know it's not the best but maybe somebody will know.

Is it a micro brittle star? I have hundreds if not thousands in my tank. They're sort of striped and wave their arms out of holes when the food is floating by.

Maybe a vermetid snail?

Could be a peanut worm or an ribbon worm. Does it retract back into the hole when disturbed?

Honestly I haven't poked at it or anything yet so I'm not sure. I do hope its a peanut worm though, they're pretty cool looking
