Over the past month and a half I have stopped siphoning my coral/sand bed when doing water changes. On youtube I saw someone say not t siphon because there is beneficial life growing in the substrate. Could that be why I am just now seeing these guys pop up.
By the way, there are not as many now- just a big spike briefly.
Also , since not siphoning, I have had no cyano and no diatoms at all.
Am I setting myself up for trouble by not siphoning? Or do you all recommend leaving substrate alone during water changes?
