I'd help? Coraline? Sponge?

You guys see that small pinkish orange spot? Is it premature coraline algae or something; or is it something more exciting

its hard to get a good picture of it, but its really different colored from the coralline in my tank rn so im not quite sure

Hmmm, the closest thing I can think of is an orange sponge with coraline on it?

Coraline comes in many different colors. I have definitely seen some flourescent oranges, reds, burgundy, pink and of course purple. It's hard to ID from the photo but I would guess coraline without a clearer image. Watch out for the aiptasia on the frag plug too.

Anything is possible, I do agree that it is a sponge

pineapple sponge. On occasion coralline gets chewed and and turns a fluro pink. Asterina or sanil or urchin maybe.

yep basically that.

And a fwiw, look into more snails for the cuc. Snails eat a LOT more than we see.
