Can anyone help me figure out what this is? I tried getting the best pictures that I could with my iPhone. They seem to be showing up now on my rock. Tank was started in January this year and has gone through a lot of the phases I’ve read about. I feel like my tank is starting to really establish. These “things” have what I would call a mouth that seems to spit out what looks like a long hair. I actually thought at first it was a strand of my wife’s hair in the tank. They aren’t soft but can easily “break” apart if I scrape it. Any help or ideas??

Just did a google search and that’s exactly what it is. Thanks for the help!! I’ll be trying the super glue method to deal with them. Thanks once again!

Agree on vermetid- Either remove entire shell at the base with a neddlenose or other pliers OR place a dab of gel superglue over its opening and i will starve. The hair you see is a feeler in search of food
