I just purchased these yesterday and after having conversations with a few other experienced reefers we are stumped and have never seen them before. We are not sure if they are large Palys, Mushrooms, or something else. Does anyone else know what these are? They eat mysis like champs and have relatively quick reaction times like an anemone but are attached to the rock structure and do not move. Thoughts?

It’s a palythoa they will eat brine if offered

That was the prevailing thought but this variety has been in the store for 2 years plus and went from 1 head to 3 in that period of time so this variety doesn't seem to reproduce all that quickly. Although most paly's pack toxin I've always been careful in handling them.
It's a paly. Know that this coral can quickly overtake a tank and that it produces and extremely dangerous toxin.

Ah as long as you are familiar. Any time I see an ID thread with palys I always try to give folks a heads up about palytoxin. There was a pretty scary palytoxin thread this morning.

Fortunately my fiancé is a doctor and we live two blocks away from Mt. Sinai, but it should never come to that. I’ve owned Palys for years, they always seem to come attached to something. I’ve just never seen this variety before and wanted to see if anyone else knows what type or variety it is.

I’ve owned grandis in the past and I feel these are different from Grandis, I’ve never seen them in 10 years in reefing. The coloration is bright highlighter yellow in the center with only purple around the skirts, unlike the brown and green grandis. The center of the Paly is raised up unlike any Paly I’ve seen in the past. This is a weird one for sure!
