Hello, I have noticed these things popping up like crazy recently. I had my tank up and running fine for 2 years but moved about a month ago and these things have popped up quickly since. I had some humpback shrimp in there before but they didnt make the move so Im wondering if they were eating them and now they dont have anything controlling them. They look like small tube worms I guess but can't find any definitive answers in other posts. IDK. Please help. Thanks

those are so positive I would brag online as my pico reef produced them in large amounts, they are simple diversity for the live rock and they have neat red crowns

I think they are family sabellidae or serupulidae but haven't read tax in 15 yrs that's just a guess. for sure, they are good and they come and go as nutrient conditions change, most reefs keep them forever. Ive never seen one harm from them in all my reefing years.

right this second if you could xfer 100 of yours into my tiny pico Id take them all.

+1 Tiny feather dusters. Good stuff :)

Ron S is in my opinion the top benthic life identifier nice write up there from back in the day
