ID help please

Any idea what this is? Good or bad? I seem to have a lot of it.

The red? Looks like coraline algae, which is an excellent thing! Means your tank is maturing! Eventually it will cover all the rocks and look nice

Just looks like coralline algae (good stuff)

Live rock with encrusting purple and red coralline algae, and an algae eating snail. I think they all have good color, nothing bad at all.

Thanks for the replies. I was meaning the stuff in the center that looks porous it’s a little more grey coloured. Sponge maybe?

Have you noticed it growing? Looks like the rock just has that texture. Perhaps old montipora skeleton that's incorporated into the rock

It just appeared a couple weeks ago. I’ll put up a pic with it on the red coralline

Yes definitely speading. Looks more white/gray then the pic shows.

Interesting, I would probably guess sponge then, but that's pretty wild that it's growing that fast. #reefsquad , what do you guys think?

I vote grey sponge, we had some that was very invasive

What did you put in the tank to bring that in? Is it a Bryzoan perhaps?
