I'm not sure what I'm looking at here, can anyone ID this for me? Are they good or bad? Thank you and apologies for the poor pictures. They're quite small and it's hard to get the camera to focus on the glass where they are located

Hydroid medusae?

Thanks guys. Ill know in a few days if/when they get bigger. if theyre aiptasia, ill break out the insulin needle and syringe and inject them with lemon juice. If they are hydroids, do I do anything about that or will they die out on their own?

Don't inject those in the tank. There easily accessible so I'd manually remove them to avoid an outbreak. If they are hydroids they will diminish on their own or you remove what you see.

so use a pair of tweezers for the ones on the glass and the one I see on the rocks?
Can you post a pic of the one on the rocks. If it's an aptasia then the others are most likely babies. I'd siphon the ones on the glass as to avoid disturbing them as much as possible.

I wasn't able get a picture of it as it is tiny like the ones on the glass and my camera doesn't focus properly. Ill just give it a few days to see what it does and I'll siphon the ones on the glass tomorrow during my post cycle water change.

So I ended up doing my water change tonight and vacuumed out what I could. I know I missed one on the glass, but we'll see what happens going forward. Ill keep yall updated

Geez 17 days old and appys already!! Theyre moving in quick!!

I know right? one little 1lb piece of live rock was all it took lol. I only see 2 remaining in the tank after last night. One is on a piece of substrate and the other is on the glass. Im half temped to leave them be and wait and see what they become when they get a little bigger just to confirm. Ive had aiptasia before when I started my first reef tank, but I don't recall hydroids.
