ID Help Please

If anyone can help me ID please. This is growing in the sump. Life got in the way over the holidays and had a bump in phosphates and nitrates, so I cheated and started doing NoPox and then this started. I imagine this is some sort of bacterial growth but not 100% sure. Its growing on Siporax bags.

Also, now that the holidays are over, my husbandry will be back on par and I tend to keep a rather clean sump. If this is bacterial, what effect will removing it have...other than maybe an elevation of nitrates and phosphates?

An overdose of a carbon source like NPX can cause a bacterial bloom like you see. Nothing to worry about, just remove it with siphoning or a shop vac.
