What are the flower looking things that came on my live rock ?
They made it through die off and tank cycle.
Any ideas ?
Friend or foe ?

Thanks

Or a sponge, either way, I research everything in my tank and if it occurs over time on its own and not noticeable after introducing something new then its usually a good thing. Filter feeder of some sort...

They don't retract like fan worms.
Cuc don't seem to be bothered by them.
Better pics are difficult
They don't seem to be a problem...yet , I've just never seen anything like this on any "fad" location live rock (4 decades worth).
Kd aquatics rock , 2 months old , Gulf rock ?
Google seems no help here.

Ok... check out pic #1 vs pic #3.
Pics are 2 days apart.
They are moving !
Slowly.
And leaving a trail of seeds ?
Pic #1 and #3 are shot on same part of rock.
Notice the movement by using white section of rock as landmark.

I don't think so.
They seem like a stationary critter , but after reviewing pics a few days apart , the are migrating very slowly.
(And leaving what looks like a seed trail as they go)
About 1/16" a day ?

I'm thinking gremlins also , lol

Ive seen this in tampa bay and looks like sponge with tunicates. Very similar to below:
