Untitled-1.jpg

I know its not very clear... I cant take pictures of my corals to save my life
the redder digi is not touching it .. just looks closer in the picture

Thanks in advance :)

well I dont think they are polyps.. they are hard i think... let me get a magnifying glass and touch them real quick..

also this is a standard eggcrate so 9/16 x 9/16 square hole..

there is a bit of purple bonsai growing on the rack with the green polyps for size if that helps

yea I cant tell, it feels hard like i can feel the bumps.. but they could be polyps... they don't move when i blow them with the baster so i would guess not..

ahh yea I see . the dimension perspective helped /headslap I don't know . pretty sweet though.

I will agree it is Pscammocora I searched at unique corals and found the exact looking piece...

close the thread as far as I am concerned..

Most regard Psammocora as an LPS coral. Some do regard it as SPS however. It's similar to Pavona in that manner.

Do remember, however, that both "LPS" and "SPS" are made-up hobbyist terms anyway. Scientifically, there's no such thing. It's an arbitrary hobbyist approach at putting a blanket on what various corals require relative to their polyp size... And of course that type of shoehorn won't work for everything.

But if you consider the needs Psammocora, it typically does better if it's treated like an LPS in regards to placement, feeding, and water parameters.
