I find myself posting a lot of these...would anyone know where I can find some type of list to identify small "pest" when I find them?

The latest question mark looks almost like one arm of a really small starfish, only it's not tapered at the end. I thought it was a red coralline algae at first but then I saw them moving. Anyone have any idea what I'm looking at? Good or bad?

As always, thanks for the help.

Good call. I looked them up and that's what they are. Thank you.

I also read that Sixline Wrasse may eat them...so I guess I have an excuse to add another fish.

Thanks again.

I just realized that I have an outbreak of planaria. I was thinking that I just had a few but after looking at what I thought was algae more closely, I saw that they resemble the planaria but they aren't moving. Guess it's time to use some Flatworm Exit...

So I did a run of FWE and thought I got everything (nearly killed some coral too from all of the toxins). I looked in today and saw that there are still some in there. Would it be safe to dose again so soon? Also, the recommended dose is 1 capful per 75 gal; could I go higher to try and kill everything this time?

I just added the yellow coris wrasse Thursday night. Either he's pushing them out of hiding and eating them or they're starting to multiply again....

From my understanding you are supposed to use fwe twice, one week apart. The reason is so it will give the eggs time to hatch and kill the new hatched worms. I have heard stories about having to dose several rounds to eradicate them completely. It will have less effect if you put fresh carbon in your system when you dose, and use plenty of it. Good luck!
