I'm new to reef tanks so can someone tell me what these white things are? They're in my sump

Those are a type of hitch hiker they are a Siliceous Sponge They are harmless

I have those things everywhere. Just a sponge. What I did to reduce their growth is to get a pretty sponge that can suck up the silicates and what not. Same theory as macro in the fuge I suppose.
