It looks like some kind of light brown algae and I wanted to know if anyone has came across this. I apologize for not explaining thoroughly. When I do my water changes, it makes my water cloudy. I have fowlr and only 1 damsel yellow tail and a maroon clown fish plus some cuc.

I do not know what is growing on my Tonga branch. (The hair like, light brown stuff)

Do you blast clean your rock with a powerhead before water changes? They look kind of like there is a layer of detritus on them with maybe some algae or bacteria starting to grow on the surface. i presume this tank is only a few months old or so?

The tank is about 10 years old or more. I try and keep up with water changes. At least twice a month.

I do not blast my rock before water changes. The tank is about 10 years old or older. I inherited it from a friend about 4 years ago.
