The last few days I have noticed clear little floaters that resemble a cross between a jelly fish, dandelion and/ or umbrella. They are hard to photo. Tank has had diatoms so wondering related. Only 5 hermits in the tank introduced in early May. Started with dry rock and very little live rock rubble in the sump (been in the sump since the fall). Any idea what this is? Thanks.

Looks like a hydroid jelly. Typical in newly set up tanks and will usually go away on their own.

Thanks. I wonder where it came from... the hermit crabs as a hitchhiker?

Not sure, every tank we started ended up having a small explosion of them. Lol
