ID help

So I got this mushroom rock, and it came with this random pinkish translucent bulb. It feels leathery/firm, is very well attached,
and there has been zero change in it day or night since the 31st when I got it. I've asked in a few FB groups and the most I get is "looks like some kind of coral"

Can anyone help me out with a guess as to what this thing is?

edit- sorry saw you asked what the pinkish thing was. That I don’t know.

The pink bulb is the item in question, not the mushrooms...

May be a tunicate, but hard to say for sure. Another pic from a slightly different angle would help.

No openings on it anywhere that I can see, I should have gotten a photo while it was out of water. My dominant hand is a bloody mess currently so I can't dig it out right now, but I'll try to get a better photo tomorrow at least

Very strange, is it hard? soft? it looks almost like some type of cowrie shell? maybe some kind of bivalve?

very firm, but not solid - it has a little give

Its sessile I assume? hasn't moved?

If its slightly flexible, Id be starting to guess it's a type of macro algea.

If it's not that, I'm stumped
