Can anyone ID this and or help me differentiate between some of the soft corals that look very similar?

That is scleronepthya, a silk coral version. Silk coral is very soft in texture, it is non photosynthetic, and it cannot fully retract the polyps. The color is one of the best identifiable characteristics of this coral. Also the polyp shape and arrangement on the branches.

Thanks Adrienne!

Upscale Aquatics has this plus another tree type coral that I couldn’t get a good phone pic that isn’t NPS.

I had some friends tell me that Matt is starting to bring in some nicer high end softies and NPS gorgs (after they spent $300).

I’ll verify, but I believe that his next softies shipment is coming in Tuesday 2/25.

P.s.

I had them send me photos of the other coral. It is not photosynthetic. It is a pink scleronepthya.
