Do you have a Pom Pom crab by any chance? It reminds me of their anemones.

Too big to be hydroids. Looks like baby sebae anemones or Rock flower anemones

I’ve seen various colors of aiptasia in my own reef ranging from very dark colored to very light colored.

+1 on aiptasia . They are nicknamed the glass anemone and they do grow on the glass.

Aiptasia can attach to anything at any time. I’ve seen them on a snail riding around the tank.
