Have been battling this algae for a long time. It has gotten a lot better since I realized my phosphates we high (.38) and my nitrates were 0. I thought I was battling dino way back and then got it ID as chrysophytes under microscope. Have used just about everything at least once to try and get rid of it - Vibrant - waste away - refresh - Fluconazol - dinox

Temp - 79.4
Ph - 8.2
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - >25 <50 Salifert
Phosphates - 16ppb / .049
Calcium - 430
DKH - 10
 
Also used red slime remover. I also was dosing sodium nitrate to increase nitrates but have not dosed any in about 2 weeks now.
