So I've noticed this "orange" tint in my sand in one area of my tank. Sifted some of it 2 days ago and reappeared again. I also have noticed an uptake in spaghetti worms in my tank.

Any thoughts on this "orange" Tinted sand?

Tank running for 1 and a half years.

It’s a type of cyano bacteria. Siphon up, reduce white light intensity and add a small pouch of chemipure blue or elite which is keep nitrate and phosphate in check which are contributors

Should have added my parameters. Nitrate 5 phos 0, dkh 9.0, mg 1380, CA 450

I see spaghetti worms burrowed underneath the orange areas. My whites are at 3% lol...I'll try to siphon again a little.

I'm hesitant to adding chemicals to fix stuff right off the bat. But thanks for your input
