Got this coral a few months back, colors are great and it is starting to grow. I want to place it on my rockwork but not sure what it is. The guy I got it from said he thought it was a favia. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you!

Looks like a scolymia or a micromussa spp to me, does it sit on a rock or is it more of a fleshy feeling?

Not the greatest of pictures but this is from when I first got it. It has since puffed up, also I can't say if touched it with my hands so not sure if it is fleshy may have to try when I get home from work. I'm pretty sure it is sitting on a piece of rock but could be wrong, looks like rock

That’s a chalice… I’m sure of that much. Possible orange crush but not 100%

yep, that’s a rock. Now that I’ve seen it side on its a chalice, basically the low light montipora in my opinion. Easy to grow in the right conditions for sure!
I would say it’s an orange crush chalice if you wanted to go deep into colour morphs.
