I’ve got this little thing next to my leather coral.. it has a top flat that kind of opens and little tiny tentacle type things will stick out. If a fish gets near it, it closes back up... sorry for the poor quality photos.. it’s really small. Anyone have any ID if this is something harmful? TYIA!!

Bumping... this is as far as I have seen it open and come out....... anyone have any thoughts?

It could be a Micro Brittle starfish, I have some some they are very small and stick their arms out to filter feed. Nothing to worry about.

Could be!!! do they live in little pods like that?
I was leaning toward some kind of coral worm.. but you could be right. I’ve tried turning all the lights out and put a flashlight on the tank to see if it comes out. So far, that’s as much as I see it leave its little opening
