Hey reefers

Can any one ID these things for me. I see them on the bottom of my frogspawn. It's still extremely healthy but these things look like flat worms to me and if they are please let me know what to do. I need more dip for my corals and also wanted to know what's the best dip on the market today? A quick response would be appreciated thanks !

It's on the base of the frogspawn. What is this! Or Is this normal? Help!

Oi, that's a pretty heavy case of flatworms. You will want to dip the frag in a good quality dip and maybe look into doing a round of flatworm exit. Or you could get a wrasse such as a melanuras or coris, depending on your tank size. I don't remember the best protocol for these guys though so I'll bring in some more help #reefsquad. Also double, triple, quadruple check all nearby corals, especially any other euphyllias.

That is some pretty good advice:)

What do I do ??? [emoji37][emoji37][emoji37][emoji37]does flatworm exit hurt corals?

No, flatworm exit is reef safe. However there is a type of flatworm that releases toxins when it dies, I don't think it's the one you have but I don't remember for sure. @Lionfish Lair could confirm that for us. Check your corals thoroughly and get a dip to see if the infestation has spread to other corals and to know what you are up against. Bayer is supposed to be good, I use Coral rx personally. Also it would be a lot less confusing for members here if you stick to one thread and put all your information there instead of making multiples. Good luck, hopefully it hasn't gotten too bad.

I just bought the polyp lab reef primer. Is that a good dip?

I haven't used it and I don't think I've heard too much about it but let me do a little bit of digging and I'll get back to you.

Seems fine, not a ton of reviews and doesn't seem to be as common as some other dips.

You're correct.

I dip all new corals that come in. Usually a mixture of 300 ml tank water to 50 or so ml of bayer. Let them soak for 5 mins then transfer to 2 different tank water containers. Made it through zoa eating nudis that way

Bayers like everyone stated, i use 160 ml bayers to 1 gallon saltwater for 10 min (use turkey baster or powerhead to blowoff pests), then rinse and soak in fresh saltwater for 15 min 2 x (baster good again to blow off stunned leftover pests. The rinse is important to make sure the bayers comes off cause it can leach into ur tank.
