Found this on the rock I bought today. Is this a Majano?

Kinda looks like a hairy mushroom or a small anemone. Looks like a good score either way!

Thanks! I’m hoping it is an anemone of some sort. And a free one to boot. I actually have two of them on my newly purchased live rock. Score x2!!

Google images on majano anemone to rule them out. I had one and that is how I positively identified it.

I am pretty convinced it is an anemone. I will keep an eye on it and see how it goes. Crazy thing is that I was looking at another rock and it for sure had Majanos on it. Killed those puppies before they had time to think about spreading.

My majano looked like a zoa at first it was in a crack in the rock folded & I thought nice hitch hiker, then it moved across the rock unfolded & I was able to ID it & killed it! Too bad though it was really pretty.

Yes, I am sorry, I am serious. I know majanos with green tips. I think this is the most common form. They look quite pretty and when they first appeared in tanks the people liked it ... until they completely took over the tanks.
