Hello all.....

Last night, hearing strange gurgling, i checked my outer owerflow box, and saw this thingy inside, on of box wall, even pipes..... That place is always in dark, so really didnt pay attention what is inside....

Some spongy? growth thing? Pale yellow-ish color, i did close inspection of tank and sump, did not find it anywhere but in this outer overflow box....

Any chance to id, do i need to remove ir, good, bad, or simply ugly? Please ignore white dots on glass....

Thank you!

Will do, its not bothering anything for now.....

Thank you!

Is there any problems to be expected if i leave them for now?

Dont want to open anotjer topic.....

So, i flash some light into tank (darkness, lights are off), and noticed that water is full of tiny white? specks, dots... Dont know how to called them, flowing with the current.....

Impossible to take picture, lools like tiny grains of sand, hard to tell if they swim or just go with the flow......

Of course, sandbed is battlefield, crabs, snails, pods, worms.... Is it some gunk that they raise from sand, or is it something live?

Oh, yez, it seems that they reflecting light???

When lights are on, water is crystal clear, so really not sure what it is?

Do some additional research and read up on both; and compare to what you have. Depending on other factors (nutrient levels, etc) you should be able to narrow it down. The picture is not particularly helpful.

Depending on the age of your tank, the best course of action might be to leave it alone and let the tank mature...

Tank is 1 year old....

And this happened recently, when i upgraded my lights...

Nutrients regarding, its hard to narrow selection, no3 are 2-5, po4 <0.02.

I suspect lights had something with it, maybe its too strong, or schedule is too long.

If its nutrient issue, then this will appear also in sump, there is area in sump with even lower flow, and sand is clear and white.....

Detritus or marine snow
D
Sorry to bring this back, but, still no solution to this snowing at night in my tank....

Any toughts how to ged rid of this, maybe problem is only visible at night, but its present whole time, during the day...

So any help is welcome!
