Hi,

Please can you give some opinions on this mark that has appeared overnight on my male clown. No new introductions to the tank in months, parameters stable : 410 cal, 1290 mag, 8.0 ph, 33 salinity, nitrate 8, phoshate elevated at 0.7 (i overfeed...)

Wondering if its just some damage from the female? parasite? He acts normally, feeding response is good, no other marks and all other fish seem fine.

Thanks for checking!

It is too large to be one of the common external parasite diseases. I would say it is just a minor injury, possibly from the other clown - they often squabble, and you may never see it happen as while you are watching your tank, they are busy watching you.
I doubt this will become infected, so in the absence of any other symptoms, I wouldn't treat for anything right now, just continue to watch it - look for the spot growing, or new spots developing.
