To me , chemiclean sometimes works but is an alternative-not a solution
Cyano is photosynthetic and a result of high phosphate, nitrate or both
You want to blow loose and siphon well
Then turn off white lights or all for 4-5 days
With cyano being a bacterial algae, you want to compete by adding liquid bacteria such as micro bacter 7 or XLM at 1.5ml per 10 gallons during the day
Be sure to clean filters daily and do not add NoPx or coral foods at this time
At night- add 1ml of 3% peroxide per 10 gallons at night
You will see a difference day 1 and huge improvement day 3
