Swimming crabs (paddles on rear legs) are generally very carnivorous and very fast, but does this fellow have spoon-shaped tips on his claws, similar to an emerald crab?
It's a gorgeous crab, so I'd say sump or rehome, rather than flush or boil with a bit of drawn butter . . .
