Yes they do when opened, but they close up to a soft fleshy polyp like a zoa. They look like a zoa with fat little sausage skirts. Those are interesting, they almost like like blastos
I have 4 different colonies of this, under 3 different types of lighting and in various types of flow and they all look the same. This particular on is under a 20k radium in a medium flow area of a frag tank...about 125par or so.That is weird as all heck, never seen zoas with skirts so fat. Is the flow off? The pictures are kinda blurry. I think it’s probably something like salted agave because of the red and white together
Woot...got 30 or so polyps...lolBounce zoas! $3k per polyp lol
Sorry not helpful but interesting none the less
I admit they sure do when they are open but they are soft fleshy polyps when closed.Looks like Blastos
Yeah, I thought they look like a cross between a blasto, alveopora, clove polyp, and zoa. I think it’s likely some sort of zoanthid, but definitely something weird happening with it.Looks like Blastos
They close up at lights outI admit they sure do when they are open but they are soft fleshy polyps when closed.

They have a solid skeletonDo all blastos have a solid structure like acans? Or can they have fleshy polyps like zoas?
