That’s a booger! Specifically from a Naso tang!

no I’m kidding it’s probably a hair worm. They are generally harmless detritivores. If you have a bunch you might be over feeding.

I think I actually found it on Melev’s Reef. I think it’s a spaghetti worm? From what I read not a pest?

This is the most social tang I’ve ever had. He(or she) is so nosy! Comes right to the glass whenever we come by and has to be in every single picture! Was capturing the nems burg there he is!

Most people incorrectly call these spaghetti worms but as Banjo said, it's a hair worm. Spaghetti worms are different, but also useful detritivores.
