image.jpg Hi all, I would love to hear whitch Dwarf Angle this one is?

It Was bourgth AS an Fisher's, but i don't Think it is one, as i dosent have a yellow tail, the tail is Transparent.....

So i think is a " Rusty" or mabey a Sheapard's /mango .... Whit do YOU experts think?

I have a mixed reef, under construktion and if its a rusty, i think i have to deliver it back to the lfs... as I have heard that especially the Rusty will nip T my sps/lps polyps...

The first week in the tank, it looked like it was nipping at the corals, but now its like it have figured out that the food I give it is much more interesting..

I do have a green Bali slimer, tho, witch havnet had any polyp extentions since i Got in the tank....

So here is a couple of pic's...

Please give me your thourghts and experince about keeping dwarf angles and corals. image.jpg

I don't know the id of the angel (maybe a Potter's) but I can say Dwarf Angels and coral "normally" do not mix. I have tried and had to remove a Golden Dwarf, Flame, Bi-Color, and Eibli Angels all due to picking on coral. Some didn't start right away but they all seemed to migrate towards it. That being said, every fish is different....there are a ton of people that do successfully keep them in reef tanks without any issues.

100% not a fishers angelfish, the dots on its lower half suggests you are correct in your assumption that's its a rusty angelfish. All angels are different, i recently sold a spawning pair of angelfish, the male was good as gold and the female would nip at coral.
I've also had a bicolour and lemon peel in a reef tank which are known for being the worst, that didn't touch anything... except my other fish

The extent of the purple along the dorsal and in the face, as well as the spots beginning to connect to form lines on the posterior half of the fish suggest that this may be a hybrid of C. ferrugata x bispinosa.

Centropyge can be hit and miss with corals, generally being safer with sps than fleshy lps and zoas.

Could be a Coral Beauty. I have seen them with the extended purple in the body like that. It really depends on where it was collected from as you will get regional variations.

I just added one to my tank that looks almost identical. It was sold to me as a Rusty. I'm no expert, but the spots and coloration seem to match with Rusty. I have not seen Coral Beauties with spots like that.

Rusty

Thx so much for your replyeis, really greate.

I think its a Rusty as Well now, aftner seeing a ton of pic's....

Hmmm i guess I have to set up a fish trap and se if I Can catch him.... And then deliver it back to the lfs"..... As it was sold to me as a Fisher's.... What a shame that is.

But I'm affraid its gonna stress my corals and Giant clams to much.....
Cheers.
