Hi,
When we started our tank we got a great many Asterina starfish and we got the tip to remove all of them, so we did (and still do), now one only once in a while pops up.
But this morning I saw this seastar on a rock:
Can anyone say what it is, and most importantly, should I remove it or let it be?

That looks like an asterina also. I have read here the dark ones are more likely a problem than the white ones I usually see. No firsthand knowledge on that. If I were you I would probably isolate in a sump or similar until I could get a solid ID. That may allow you to get some closer pics to help also.

Thanks, then I'll remove that one also. Rather safe then sorry.
