Last night I was looking in my aquarium at midnight and al of a sudden I noticed a lot of these guys hanging around my filter. Now I’m curious what it is and if it is any bad.

Interesting they have three little legs? Have you tried pulling one out for closer examination?

No not yet. But one thing I did found out that is pretty interesting is that it only sits on places with algae. It doesn’t look like it bothers the coral at all.

I’ve got some new pictures and info. The have a lot of tiny legs at the underside so those 3 things are not legs I think. It can swim and as soon as there is light there are al gone. I don’t know if it can be true but I looks like that at the place where there was algae little spots of algae are gone. I’ve also puled one out of the aquarium and they are really small. Not even close to the end of a usb cable. I hope someone knows if this thing can do some serieus harm or not. Thanks a lot!

Huge isopods - wow. Time for a wrasse such as melanurus to devour these.
