ID on new zoa frag

Hey guys, just picked up my first corals. I got two zoa frags from my LFS. Looking for an ID on what is on the side of my frag. Doesn’t looks like a zoa to me. Thanks for the help.

These have like 4 or 5 names, but I know them as Green Implosion Palythoas- they grow like *crazy* so I would recommend keeping them on an island! They’re beautiful, but you don’t want them over growing

Thank you! I’m not too sure I want it in my tank though can I pull the frag out and cut it off? I’m worried about palytoxin if I do so

They do have Palytoxin, so use gloves and glasses. Remove the frag from the tank, cut the palythoa off, thoroughly rinse it with a cup of tank water (discard used water) and return the frag to the tank

Palytoxin is dangerous in large quantities or if it enters through an open wound. As long as you are practicing proper safety, it is not a major threat!
