Id on paly? Please.. i found this guy growing out of a fairly matured zoo frag...the tentacles are very green and wheb i touch him he folds in half quickly theb moments later reopens.

No, they're actually pretty easy to pop off if you can do it fast and can get it before it shrinks too much. I would grab the plug, take a razor blade, and scrape it clean off right into the toilet. You can even rinse the plug a little with tap after you get the zoas to close up so nothing is left. It's easier to deal with majano like that than an aip in the same spot. Good luck, but definitely get it out!

Tweezers ripped him right off. I did some digging and it appears they dont have the ability to bounce back if rembants are left...he peeled off super easy and flushed even easier

If he peeled off easily he was probably a rock flower anemone, especially since you said it had green frills. The image where it balls up, I see a lot of white or grey fleshy tissue which is more like rock flowers. Aptsia/Majano usually area brown/transparent colored body.

I think you just flushed a free $30.00.

Its okay, a lot of people confuse young Rock flower anemones for aptasia/majano and nuke/kill them. =d. Based off the coloring, it probably would have grown in to a green frilled deep purple disc RFA =d.

Just stop lol....just stop. The ones in the tank with it at lfs were very similar. I may need to go buy more frags from that tank.

Hahaha, oh man...I'd still be okay with the flush because if it was majano and you left it which resulted in an infestation, you'd be way more ticked off.

Definitely was a mojo. I've dealt with tons of these and they can look just as nice as rock flower nems. Majority of mine were green and pink and yes they do pop off very easily. You didn't waste any money, you got rid of a potential nuisance.
