ID on Pistol Shrimp (Alpheus Spp.?)

I wanted to purchase a pistol shrimp to pair with my Yellow Watchman Goby. The LFS finally had a few in stock for me to select, but decided I did not want a large Tiger Pistol Shrimp, so I went with this one which was labeled Alpheus Spp.

I am wondering if this shrimp is even capable of pairing with a YWG. For reference, he is about two inches long. Anyone have a clue?

No clue what that one is but why were you reluctant to get the tiger pistol? They're probably my favorite; seem to be less shy than most and stay busy (which keeps the sand bed turned over).

I have read that they can be fairly disruptive in nano tanks in terms of sand storms, so I was hoping to get something smaller. My tank is also located in my bedroom and several people mentioned the pinching/ clacks are very loud, which made me hesitant. In retrospect, it might have been a safer bet, but too early to tell.

They can get rambunctious with the snapping but only if there is something to snap at (in my experience, usually a hermit that wanders into the cave or a snail that falls off the glass/rocks and rolls into the cave). The sand storms usually subside after a few days to a week because they kick up most of the detritus that is in the sand (which likely gets filtered out by a sock or settles in a sump). A nano may have limited resources to deal with that however so it's likely a valid point.
