id on small orange bubbles

If its spreading it could also be red bubble algea, I just got some off some live rock I just bought and it spread like mad! it was reddish orange ,and I had to remove some rocks ,so far so good
Well that would suck I'm already bumming out about this dictoya algae in going to have to try to get rid of that would be 2 nuance algaes discovered in one pic lol

ya I also got the green bubble algea but I made a vacuum with an old pump and scraped them off while sucking out any spores that got released ,and it seems to have gotten rid off almost all off it and now I just keep an eye out so can keep on top of it

Red bubble alge is red Valonia google it.
I personally don't think that's whet it is.
The dictoya is not that bad. I actually put it in my tank on purpose. It died. I see some in the overflow once in a while. Bout it.

If you can get a close pic of what you have we can do a better Id.

Clearly I'm not a fan of the handwringing In a possible miss I'd or even introduction af a species or organism to a tank. So don't sweat it. It's probably nothing Look at pics on the net to confirm because you can see it better than us

Fwiw I bought dictoya on a sea fan skeleton it looked like the cutest little bush.or oak tree. My pipefish would curl up in the branches and eat pods off the leaves. After a while like four months. the leaves just started to fall of and die. I took them out and threw away the fan too. I was pretty bummed and so was the pipefish. That was about two years ago.
Now. Once in a while i see dictoya in the overflow. And I'm not special or extra smart I don't think.

Red Valonia. Dunno.my bubble alge was never a plague either. Hair algae is a bummer too but not the end of the world
Get a better pic for us.

I do love the shop vac for removal tool. That's awesome. I use a canister filter with a lotta floss.

That can filter idea is awesome! Suckout the bads filter and return the water. I've use a syphon from fuge to sump through a filter pad for bubble algae, I worry about contaminating the sump. With the can icould return it to the same fuge. Sweet :) and I have an extra can too :):)

Dude best tool I ever bought. If I scape I just put the can in and the dust clears in no time.
Scraping hair alge. Bubble alge you name it.
Or In the sump. It's a miracle.
And it's only about a gallon and a half of saltwater. Then just rinse the pads in the sink.

Some of my tunicates, years old

If it is a newer rock it could be a Kenya tree sprout up, other than that a tunicate maybe, I have a an orange tunicate so I know the color is right .I see lighter bumps on it like it will open, but it could be the light.it does not look like bubble algae at all, that is glassy and clear red or green. That one is worth leaving and watching what it will be .
