Obviously I have had this for a while. Growth has gotten out of control even though I have fragged it repeatedly. Will be looking for a new home as it is shading out 1/4 of the tank and blocking flow. (Yes, I know. I need a bigger tank.)

Can anybody give me a common or scientific name? I'd be really grateful. I've looked through all the receipts I kept but no luck. Given the vintage, it likely came from WWC or Jason Fox. The picture through the glass has a better color representation. While it does have a green shade color at the bottoms it is pretty much blue. Just over 500 PAR from 8 bulb Sunpower but it grows under 250 just fine too.

Also if anybody near 06840 needs a 1+ foot wide colony then message me.

@C. Eymann I think I have seen you ID a bunch of acros. Whadya think?

Nice colony!
Need better up close pics /white light to be able to make out any morphological details like radial corallite shape, opening size as well as arrangement to make any sort of close "guess" as to which species it is.

From the pics provided, maybe secale, valida, mabe even a weird growing solitaryensis

Oh I think you nailed it. Tricolor valida. I recall that as an early purchase.

I have some smaller colonies of it in my basement frag system that I can shoot closer and under LED whites.
