Can anyone tell me the name of this shroom variant?

Looks like Discsoma
I had to handle that little guy so much. It was so small that gluing it to the rock was a pain. I couldn’t get a handle on it because of how small it was. Didn’t think it was going to make. Seems ok. Shrivels at night and during the day it looks like that pick.

Never glue a mushroom to a rock. Its the same as glueing an anemone to a rock because mushrooms are an anemone. Next time take a small container full of rock rubble and let the mushroom attach itself.

+1 on discsoma though

They usually detach when glued without substrate.
Some good advice above if it does.
Very resilient, but when happy, will cover your tank.

Blue Discosoma. I have a couple just like it in my tank. As stated above, best practice is to let a loose shroom anchor to a piece of rock rubble and then glue the rock where you want it.

Oh snap. Ok. It was attached to rubble already and I glued that to the rock but I might have gotten too much glue on the stem (thing is tiny). Should I remove it and let it attach to a piece of rubble?

I'd just leave it for now. Hopefully you put it in a low light low flow area where it will be happy.

No if the foot is attached to a rock and the rock is glued then its fine. The foot is mucusy so the glue wont stick (usually). Best idea is to leave it where it is. They are hardy so it should be fine.

Disco is very hardy but also sensitive to water conditions and glue is a huge no-no as this mushroom will slowly walk around tank and leave pieces of its foot behind and those pieces will grow into new mushrooms. They attach well to a structure provided.
Provide low to moderate light and water flow to keep it happy
